I have spent a lifetime
writing love poems
to places
that have never
loved me back
because my home
does not belong
to places
but it should belong
to me
So now I'm trying
to build the doors
to my home
because
I have enough walls
and I'm trying
to fill a welcome mat
with a love poem
to myself
